Monday August 20, 2018
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mobile Alabama woman on multiple charges after she repeatedly rammed her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle on Highway 98.
31-year old Sherelle Triplett is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery, child neglect without great harm, driving with a suspended license, and felony criminal mischief.
Triplett’s ex-boyfriend says Triplett spotted him driving down Highway 98 in Destin the afternoon of August 18th with another female in his vehicle. He says Triplett then began chasing him, ramming into his vehicle multiple times as he tried to escape. Both vehicles were damaged, but no one was injured, including a 12-year old girl riding in Triplett’s passenger seat.
OCSO deputies say once Triplett’s ex-boyfriend’s vehicle was disabled, she began hitting his SUV and then started kicking, punching, and ripping his shirt off once he got out of the vehicle.
The ex-boyfriend estimated damage to his SUV at $3500.
