Navarre Beach Dead Body Identified

Navarre Beach, FL – A body found on Navarre Beach Sunday afternoon has been identified as a 46 year old Birmingham, Alabama man.

According to a news release from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 1451 Navarre Beach Causeway on Sunday afternoon shortly after 3:30 p.m. in reference to a possible shooting.

Upon arrival deputies discovered a deceased black male in the parking lot. Because of the unknown circumstances, Detectives with the Major Crimes Division as well as Crime Scene Technicians began processing the scene as standard protocol.

According to Sgt. Rich Aloy, the deceased was identified as 46 year old Toby Arnez Dixon from Birmingham, Alabama.

At this point, Detectives have not discovered any indications of foul play but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
