Monday Evening Traffic Crash Slows Traffic, Sending One Victim to Hospital by Helicopter.

A two vehicle traffic crash that occurred Monday evening on E James Lee Blvd near the intersection of Industrial Drive blocked traffic for a short time while one driver had to be cut out of their vehicle.
According to the Crestview Fire Department’s Public Information Officer, Corey Winkler, Firefighters form station one responded the crash that resulted in one driver being trapped in her vehicle. Fire Department personnel utilized hydraulic extricating equipment to gain access to the driver.
The driver was flown by helicopter to a local hospital as a result of their injuries which was unknown at the time of this report.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and declined treatment.
The Okaloosa County EMS as well as the Crestview Police Department and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.
