Alzheimer’s Caregiver Seminar Set For April 21st

The Walton Okaloosa Council on Aging and the West Florida Hospital Memory Disorder Clinic will be conducting a four-hour seminar on Alzheimer’s.

This free seminar will be held on the 21st of April from 9:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Walton Okaloosa Council on Aging Main office located at 1154 Baldwin Ave DeFuniak Springs. The seminar will cover many topic’s to include the warning signs of Alzheimer’s or other dementia, how to cope, how to understand the disease, what help/options are out there, and what changes are taking place in the medical field.

This will be open to all caregivers, anyone in the Medical Field( RN’s, LPN’s, CNA, Home Health Aids, etc), and anyone else who might be interested in attending.

Certificates will be issued for Alzheimer’s Disease Training under ADRD # NHAD 467 & 468. There will also be handouts on these topic’s available. Light snacks will be provided.
