Pedestrian Killed Crossing Highway 98 in Destin

Destin, FL – A Pensacola man was struck by a vehicle while crossing Highway 98 early Thursday morning and died at the scene.

The victim is identified as 41-year old Alfred Trimble Jr.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators say Trimble was crossing near the intersection at Stahlman Avenue around 3:49 a.m. when he was hit by a commercial vehicle.

The OCSO Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating.
