Dead Body Found Near Interstate in Crestview

Crestview, FL – A body has been found in a campsite in a wooded area near the interstate.

According to a news release from the Crestview Police Department, Officers and Investigators investigated the scene of an unattended death in the woods near the westbound Interstate 10 exit and State Road 85 Sunday afternoon around 1 p.m.

According to Brian Hughes, Public Information Officers for the police department, there were no traffic blockages or delays while CPD investigators combed the scene of a campsite in the woods.

As the incident is under active investigation, there is no further information available at this time.
