Woman Attacks Her Children’s Father With Turkey Carver

DeFuniak Springs, FL – A 37 year old DeFuniak Springs woman has been arrested for attacking her children’s father with a turkey carver.

Officers with the DeFuniak Springs Police Department responded to a Lakeview Drive residence around 8 p.m. Friday night in reference to a disturbance.  Police arrived to find a man bleeding from his hand from a cut inflicted by the mother of his children.

The victim stated that Tawee Suzette Luster had attacked him with a turkey carver. A witness stated Luster was trying to kill the victim.

Luster, who was taken into custody after a brief struggle, was transported to Healthmark Regional Medical Center for evaluation before being transported to the Walton County Jail where she was booked on charges of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Resisting an Officer with Violence, and Trespass after Warning.

The victim planned to seek medical treatment for a large laceration to his left hand he received when he grabbed the knife to prevent from being stabbed.

Luster is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
