Okaloosa and Walton County Traffic Alert

Chipley, FL – Drivers will encounter traffic variations on the following state roads in Okaloosa and Walton counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.

Okaloosa County

 

  •  State Road (S.R.) 189 (Beal Parkway) Intersection Improvement at S.R. 393 (Mary Esther Boulevard)– There will be intermittent lane restrictions on Beal Parkway between Ewing Court and Water Street from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec.17 through Thursday, Dec. 21 as crews place asphalt base, pour curb, construct sidewalk and driveways.
  • U.S. 98 Deceleration Lane construction near St. Mary Avenue- Eastbound traffic near St. Mary Avenue will encounter lane restrictions Monday, Jan. 8 through Thursday, DJan.11 as crews construct a deceleration lane in the median and new curb, gutter, and sidewalk.
  • U.S. 98 Turn Lane Extension west of Wright Parkway in Fort Walton Beach – Eastbound inside, left lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. from west of Wright Parkway and east of the City of Mary Esther as crews extend a turn lane and construct a driveway.

Walton County

 

  • U.S. 98 Widening from Emerald Bay Drive to Tang-O-Mar Drive– Motorists can expect alternating east and westbound lane closures from the Okaloosa/Walton County line to Tang-O-Mar Drive from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7 through Thursday, Jan. 11 as roadway widening and drainage upgrades continue.
