Shoplifting Suspect Caught After Theft at Destin Store

A Pensacola woman on probation in Escambia County for aggravated assault with a weapon is in trouble again, this time after being charged with grand theft by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

27-year old Lashamonique Moore of Muldoo Drive was spotted grabbing clothes from a rack inside the Foot Locker at Destin Commons around 7:30 last night. She then put the clothes on the floor while another person grabbed the items, put them in sales bags from other stores, and left.

Moore then tried to distract the store employees by asking for many different pairs of shoes from the back of the store.

Initially she denied the allegations but it was all captured on surveillance video.

The total value of the items was placed at $1300.00.  Moore is charged with grand theft and violation of probation. The investigation is continuing.
