Wanted Alabama Fugitive Leads Deputies on Pursuit Into North Okaloosa County

Baker, FL – A fugitive wanted in Alabama lead deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama on a pursuit through the back roads north of Baker where he wrecked his vehicle and fled on foot.

According to news sources, deputies pursued a wanted man into Okaloosa County Florida, where he wrecked his vehicle in the area of Sherman Kennedy Rd and Finkel Rd and fled into the woods on foot. After a through search the wanted man was taken into custody according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Several area agencies responded to the scene to assist in the man hunt to include the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol.

Contact was made with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama and we were advised no information would be available until Wednesday at the earliest.
