November 13, 2017

Crestview, FL – The Head of the Money Mofia Sentenced to Prison for his role in the murder of Crestview teen Mark Williams.

Between August 2014 and July 2015, Marvin Andrew Wilkins, as the head of the “Money Mafia”, sold cannabis, committed batteries, assaults, and tampered with evidence.

On January 20, 2015, Wilkins believed a member of the “Money Mafia” was leaking information to individuals in Crestview. Wilkins began attempting to determine the member of the group who was leaking information. “Goose”, a potential mole, was told to stand on plastic and was beaten and questioned. After determining that “Goose” was not the mole, the Defendant sent Bernard Nunnally, Erich Justice, and Nijajuan Russell to Crestview to pick up Mark Williams and bring him to Okaloosa Island. Wilkins told them to bring Williams back to the hotel room, but if you can’t, do what you have to do. Nunnally, Justice, and Russell were all carrying firearms. Cell phone records show that after leaving Okaloosa Island and before the murder, there were four phone calls between Nunnally and Wilkins.

On the way from Crestview to Okaloosa Island, Nunnally pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and shot Mark Williams. Russell and Justice also shot Williams. After the shooting, Nunnally called Wilkins and stated “it’s done.”

Today, November 13, 2017, Wilkins entered a plea to Second Degree Murder, Racketeering, and Conspiracy to Commit Racketeering. The plea called for a sentence between thirty and forty-five years in the Department of Corrections. After a sentencing hearing, the Honorable Michael Flowers sentenced the Defendant to thirty years in the Florida Department of Corrections.

Erich Justice, who was 17 years old at the time of the offense, has entered a plea to his involvement and was sentenced to a 25 year minimum mandatory prison sentence. Bernard Nunnally previously entered a plea and has been sentenced to 45 years in state prison. Nijajuan Russell will be scheduled for trial at a later date.
