Valparaiso Couple Charged with Drug Trafficking and Child Abuse

Valparaiso, FL – A Valparaiso couple are now behind bars following an investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Section for the sale of illegal drugs.

41 year old Theresa Hobbs and 46 year old Dion Latwon Wingate were taken into custody after members of the specialized unit served a search warrant at the Southern Garden Apartments unit 175 located at 500 Kelly Mill Rd. in Valparaiso.

The search revealed over 180 grams of marijuana, over 28 grams of cocaine, over 10 grams of MDMA and over 35 dosage units of Alprazolam as well as scales, smoking devices and packaging materials used to sell the illegal drugs.

Both Hobbs and Wingate face multiple charges including Trafficking in Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and MDMA, as well as child abuse without great harm.
