Crestview, FL — A Crestview man is in critical condition after being shot several times by a local resident, who is in custody at the Okaloosa County Jail, during a confrontation Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m. Oct. 25, the Crestview Police Department received a call saying shots had been fired outside of the Quinta Villa Apartments, 125 First Ave. W. Witnesses indicated to police officers the alleged shooter, later identified as Terry L. Boldridge, 51.
Witnesses said Mr. Boldridge shot Antonio Wesley Robinson Jr., 30, who fled the scene in his sedan, striking a traffic sign as he headed north on Mapoles Street. He came to a halt at North Avenue, where police found him and rendered first aid with members of the Crestview Fire Department until Okaloosa EMS arrived on the scene and transported Mr. Robinson to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Mr. Boldridge was immediately detained at the scene of the shooting. However, conflicting descriptions by different witnesses led officers to suspect a second shooter might have been involved and may have been in an apartment at Quinta Villa.
As a precaution for both resident and officer safety, the complex was cordoned off and First Avenue was blocked in front of Quinta Villa. The Crestview Police SWAT team was deployed and provided security outside the apartment while a warrant was obtained to search the residence.
K9 Sonic preceded the police officers into the unit. When no other suspect was found, the Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division began its investigation of the scene. A pastor from the department’s Chaplaincy Division was also on scene.
Mr. Boldridge was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (firearm); shooting into an occupied vehicle; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The incident remains under investigation.
