Fatal Accident on Okaloosa Ln Claims the Life of Crestview Man

Crestview, FL – A Single vehicle accident Thursday evening on Okaloosa Ln . in Crestview claimed the life of a Crestview man.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, 56 year old George J. Davis of Crestview, FL was traveling southbound on Okaloosa Ln. in a 2010 Toyota Tundra pick-up truck just south of Honey Lane.

For unknown reasons, Davis traveled across the northbound lanes and onto the east shoulder of the roadway. Davis’ truck collided with the ditch and continued in a southeasterly direction on the east shoulder of the roadway. The Toyota Tundra entered the tree line and came to rest facing north on the east shoulder of Okaloosa Lane.

Davis was transported to the North Okaloosa medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to the accident report, alcohol is not a factor in the accident and it is unknown if Davis was wearing a seatbelt.
