UPDATE: Child Makes Full Recovery After Falling Into Pool

Walton County, Fla—A one-year-old boy transported to a local hospital after falling into a pool has fully recovered.

Wednesday morning deputies responded to 1935 Scenic Gulf Drive in reference to a baby that had fallen into a pool. Deputy Lebedoph Otilus took over CPR once he and Deputy Eric Hartzel arrived on scene. South Walton Fire District EMS transported the child to Sacred Heart Hospital. Just before noon Wednesday Okaloosa Med Flight flew the boy to Pensacola.

The child is nearly 2-years-old and the family was visiting Walton County from Satellite Beach, Florida.

Friday, Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies visited the boy at Pensacola Sacred Heart bringing him a teddy bear and a Sheriff’s Badge. He was up and talking watching a movie and wearing his favorite minion socks!

“We are so very thankful for this outcome,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson.
