Milton Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon During Car Burglary Behind Bars

Milton, FL – A 25 year old Milton man who was wanted by the Milton Police Department for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon is now in custody.

On July 15th at 3:45 a.m. officers with the Milton Police Department responded to the Cedar Ridge subdivision  in reference to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress.

While officers were on the way, they were informed of the description of a suspect. Upon arrival, officers observed a black male, later identified as a 16 year old juvenile, fitting the description walking away from a vehicle. The subject was taken into custody.

When searched, a loaded handgun was found on his person. Also, within the suspect’s possession was a bottle of prescription medication belonging to one of the burglary victims as well as a large amount of cash.

The vehicle the suspect was walking away from was identified as stolen. During the vehicle search officers recovered more stolen items and a loaded handgun.

A second suspect who now has been identified as Nathan Saulsberry fled the area before officers arrived. With the assistance of the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office K-9, a perimeter was set up, however Saulsberry was not located.

Officers advised Saulsberry confronted a homeowner who came out in his yard to check his vehicle by pointing a gun at the homeowner at close range and threatened his life verbally, commanding the homeowner to back up or I’ll kill you.

On July 18, 2017 investigators obtained a warrant for Saulsberry charging him with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

According to a press release, Saulsberry  flagged an officer down at 8:45 p.m. this evening and turned himself in. Saulsberry was transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail where he is being held with no bond.

The 16 year old juvenile, was charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Armed Burglary, Vehicle Theft, Possession of Stolen Property and Resisting an Officer. He was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
