Pensacola Man Arrested For 2013 Cold Case Murder

A Pensacola man has been arrested in the cold case murder of Alexia Rochelle Baggett.

On June 20, 2017, an Escambia County Grand Jury indicted Warren Mygel Hetherington for First Degree Premeditated Murder in the death of Alexia Rochelle Baggett.

According to a news release from the Pensacola Police Department, Alexia Rochelle Baggett was shot and killed in the driveway of 465 South L Street in Pensacola, FL on February 23, 2013 around 11:30 p.m. On February 23, 2013, Warren Hetherington is accused of firing a single shot that killed Alexia Rochelle Baggett.

During the investigation, it was revealed Baggett and Hetherington had been in a relationship for several years and had broken up just prior to the shooting.

Hetherington, who was arrested on Tuesday, June 6th, is being held with no bond in the Escambia County Jail.  He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 29, 2017.
