Niceville Man Says He was Shot During Home Invasion Robbery

Niceville, FL – A Niceville area man says he was shot in the foot during a home invasion robbery on Friday.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office was called to Twin Cities Hospital in Niceville around 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon after the victim showed up for treatment.
The victim, Jacob Montague, told deputies a man had pushed in the front door of his residence located at 203 Dominica Circle and demanded money a short time earlier. When he couldn’t provide enough to satisfy the robber, he says the man hit him in the face and shot him in the foot before fleeing with some cash.
The victim’s girlfriend drove him to the hospital for treatment.
Montague described the armed robber as a black male between the ages of 20 to 25 with shoulder length dreadlocks pulled back in a ponytail. Montague further stated the robber was wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts.
