Eglin’s 96th Test Wing to Conduct Fast Cook-Off Test

Eglin Air Force Base, FL – The 96th Test Wing is scheduled to conduct a fast cook-off test using jet fuel in a contained basin on the Eglin range complex the morning of Wednesday, June 28.

Testing will take place in the early morning and will produce a visible smoke plume that should remain over the reservation and dissipate without impacts to the area.

The test should not take more than approximately 30 minutes between the hours of 6 and 9 a.m.
