Bay County Air Craft Crash Landing

A single engine airplane makes crash landing just east of Ebro.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, a single engine Arrow Commander 200 Delta was attempting to make an emergency landing when it lost power and crash landed on the south shoulder of State Road 20. The crash occurred shortly after 1 PM Saturday afternoon, June 24, 2017.

Both the pilot, James McLeod, and its only passenger, Erin McLeod, both of Jonesboro, AR were transported to Gulf Coast Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) being the primary agency and FHP assisting.
