Crestview Shopping Center Closed for Gas Leak Friday

The Crestview Fire Department along with Crestview Police Department closed the shopping center located at the corner of West James Lee Blvd and North Lloyd Street for a reported gas leak Friday morning around 9:30 AM.

Customers were denied access to the shopping center while Okaloosa Gas District fixed the leak. Business affected by the leak included, Pic-N-Sav , Wayne’s Catfish House, Soap Opera laundromat, Tractor Supply, Dollar General, UpBeat Music and Kim’s Beauty Supply.

Although North Lloyd Street was closed, James Lee Blvd was allowed to stay open. McDonald’s was also allowed to stay open however access was limited to the James Lee Blvd entrance.

The gas leak was repaired and business as well as streets were reopened at around 1:45 PM.?
