May 10, 2017
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 43-year old Kevin Knauss, no known address, with throwing a missile into a vehicle and criminal mischief.

On Tuesday, May 9th, at least two cars were damaged by a man throwing rocks at vehicles heading down Highway 98 near Mary Esther.
The first victim says she almost crashed after Knauss hit her windshield with a rock while she was heading east on Highway 98 around 3:30 p.m. A second victim says the same thing happened to her.
Knauss was about two hundred yards from the victims’ vehicles, a 2012 Nissan Murano and a 2017 Hyundai Sonata, when an OCSO deputy arrived at the scene.
Damage to each vehicle was estimated at around $800. Knauss admitted throwing the rocks and also asked the deputy for beer.
