Crestview Man Shot on Racetrack Road

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says the motive has not yet been determined in a late night shooting off Racetrack Road that left a Crestview man with multiple gunshot wounds.

Deputies received a call around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night of a shooting in the vicinity of 317 Racetrack Road. When the arrived, they heard a man yelling for help and found the victim, 20-year old Davonte Williams of Crestview, on the ground outside bleeding.

Williams was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is recovering from surgery. Investigators say he is expected to survive.
