A Crestview Man, Who Is Also A Registered Sexual Predator, Has Been Arrested For Sexual Battery On A 4 Year Old

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have arrested 40 year old Donald Ray Jones of Eagle Way in Crestview for the sexual battery of a four year old child, possession of methamphetamine and heroin, and violating his felony probation.

According to an arrest report Jones entered the 4 year old victim’s bedroom the night of January 20. Jones laid down with the victim, removed a piece of clothing and sexually battered the victim. The next morning the mother of the victim observed the 4 year old victim in just their pajama top and an under garment. When asked, the victim stated what had happened.

An interview was conducted with the victim on January 31 by a Child Protective Team Member at the Child Advocacy Center in Niceville.

During a post miranda interview with Jones today, February 7, he denied sexually battering the 4 year old victim and denied using any controlled substances. A search of Jones’s person, incident to arrest, revealed he was in possession of both methamphetamine and heroin.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Jones was convicted twice in 2002 for Lewd or Lascivious Molestation. The first incident took place in 1999 where the victim was between 12 and 15 years of age. The second conviction was for an incident that took place in 2001 with the victim being less that 12 years of age.

Jones was declared a Sexual Predator.
