A 10 year old Fort Walton Beach girl is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the road in rush hour traffic.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, Kyre Bolton was attempting to cross Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard during rush hour traffic without a crosswalk present. Paul Fassnacht was driving a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo southbound in the left lane. Bolton walked out in front of the Rodeo and was struck.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident and no charges are mentioned in the report. Bolton was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola via helicopter in serious condition.
