Fort Walton Beach Man Says He was Pistol Whipped During Home Invasion Robbery

Tuesday, October 11, 2016

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident after a Fort Walton Beach area man says he was pistol whipped during a robbery attempt at his home on Opal Court Monday night.

The 24 year old victim suffered a laceration to the head.

Zachary Willis says a man and a woman came in his residence without permission around 5:30 p.m Monday evening. The man was armed with a handgun and ejected four rounds from the weapon to show it was real while demanding items.

The suspects have been identified as 39-year old Jennifer Pentecost of Fort Walton Beach and 32-year old Ian Church of Mary Esther. Both now have active warrants for home invasion robbery and aggravated battery.

Church faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The victim, who was treated at the scene, refused to give them anything and the pair left in a white GMC Sierra pickup truck with Florida tag 461QMP.

Anyone who knows their whereabouts is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-850-863-TIPS, on Facebook at emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, or by using the P3 Tips Mobile application.
