Okaloosa and Walton County Traffic Alert

Chipley, FL Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Okaloosa and Walton counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.  There will be no planned lane closures on the state road system through 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 6.  All major roads will be open to normal traffic.  In emergency situations requiring a lane /road closure, repairs will continue until all safety issues related to the traveling public have been addressed and the lane/roadway is reopened.

  • Interstate 10- Minor traffic delays east and westbound between Exit 45 (County Road 189/ Holt) and the Walton County line Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7.  Lane restrictions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews perform striping operations and replaceraised pavement markers.
  • U.S. 331 Choctawhatchee Bay Bridge – Traffic will be reduced to one lane  from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8as crews pour concrete for the new fishing pier.  Traffic flaggers will be on-site to safely guide drivers through the work area.
