Crestview, FL — If you have noticed all the shiny new maroon garbage cans being delivered in the city limits of Crestview and wondering why, it’s because Adams Sanitation will take over the sanitation contract for the City of Crestview effective October 1st.
Adams Sanitation is in the process of delivering all new garbage and recycling cans to the residential address in the city limits of Crestview. Until the first week of October, please continue to use the cans marked Waste Pro.
Once the transition takes place, Waste Pro will collect their cans.
Unlike Waste Pro, Adams Sanitation will provide a 96-gallon yellow top roll cart for recycling, the black lid 96-galllon roll cart is to be used for trash.
Items that can be placed in the recycling cart are:
– Newspapers (including inserts)
– Clean cardboard
– Mixed paper
– Clean aluminum cans
– Plastic containers and bottles marked with codes 1 through 7
– Clean glass bottles and jars
– Clean tin and ferrous cans
If you are wondering about bulk trash pickup, bulk items placed by the curb that are 50 pounds or less will be collected on trash collection days. Larger items will be removed within 72 hours after being reported by their crews. Bulk collection is limited to 4 cubic yards, once a quarter. For additional bulk collection, please schedule through the Adams Sanitation App (available mid-September) for a fee.
For grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, and trimmings, please bag and place them at the curbside. Yard waste must be bagged or placed in bundles of less than 50 pounds each. Tree limbs and palm fronds should be cut to a maximum length of six feet. Limbs may not have a diameter of more than four inches.
Adams Sanitation will not pick up Hazardous waste!
