Crestview Man Assigned to 7th Special Forces Group Arrested for Sexual Battery on Two Children

Crestview, FL – A Crestview man who is assigned to the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group on Eglin has been arrested on 2 counts of Sexual Battery on a Child under the age of 12 and 1 count of Child Abuse.

According to an arrest report, 33 year old William Thomas Mrozek of Crestview, FL, was arrest on April 17th by the Crestview Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division working in cooperation with the U.S. Army CID in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

On March 4, 2018, a forensic interview was conducted by the U.S. Army’s CID in Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the two female victims ages 11 and 7. During the interviews, both victims gave detailed accounts of their visit at Mrozek’s Crestview Home between the dates of July 3rd through the 18th of 2017.

Both victims claimed Mrozek sexually battered them on multiple occasions. At the end of each encounter, Mrozek would tell the victims to not tell anyone. Mrozek would also hold them down, cover their mouths and tell them not to scream.

On one occasion, Mrozek allegedly struck one of the victims in head knocking her out when she tried to get away from him.

Both victims were interviewed independently from each other.

During a controlled phone call between the victims’ mother and Mrozek, the mother confronted Mrozek with the allegations in detail. Mrozek stated he didn’t remember doing anything like that, it is not something he would do. “I don’t think xxxxx would lie about something like that”, Mrozek said, “That is super descriptive, and I am sorry.”

Mrozek further stated in the controlled phone call, “you shouldn’t ignore what the girls are telling you, nor should she believe the girls are lying.”

Mrozek stated he doesn’t remember doing it, but it is pretty xxxxing terrible.

Towards the end of the call, Mrozek asked, “What do you need me to do? Do you need me to talk to her and tell her I am sorry?”

The arrest report further states that Mrozek stated in the phone call, I do not remember doing anything like that to the girls. “I can tell her I am sorry and maybe she can forgive me someday, maybe it is what she needs to hear.”

According to the Okaloosa County Jail’s website, Mrozek has been denied bond.
