Mother of Gulf Breeze Student Arrested for Firearm Related Charges

Gulf Breeze, Fla — A Gulf Breeze mother has been arrested in connection with the firearm incident at Gulf Breeze High School on March 18th.

The Gulf Breeze Police Department arrested 16-year-old Dylan Hunter Randles, a Gulf Breeze High School Student, after School Resource Officers and school administration began investigating an alleged comment made by a student in reference to a threat of violence against another student. The 16-year-old Randles was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor after the firearm was found.

On Thursday, March 21, the Gulf Breeze Police Department secured an arrest warrant for 43-yearold, Sarah Elizabeth Keith, the mother of Randles, for Allowing an Unauthorized Person to Drive Motor Vehicle, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Violation of Safe Storage of a Firearm.

On Saturday, March 23rd, Sarah Elizabeth Keith was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail where she was later released after posting bond.

David L. Stevens, who is the Deputy Chief Assistant State Attorney advised Randles will be tried as an adult.
