We recently sat down with Nick Marshall of Marshall Farms in Baker and Jennifer Bearden, extension agent for the University of Florida IFAS Extension in Okaloosa County, and discussed cotton, how the sell price of cotton for farmers is the same today as it was 40 years ago, the cost of farming, the Rural & Family Protection Program and the need for the Farm Bill to be revamped.
