Milton, FL Man Arrested for Possession of Child Porn.

Milton, Fla. — A Milton man, who is a hospital employee, has been arrested for possession of Child Pornography.
According to an arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was initiated on March 4, 2024, after receiving a cyber tip from an email provider concerning child pornography. The tip contained 2,621 images depicting child sexual abuse material, one of which depicted an infant in diapers.
During the course of the investigation, it was revealed an email account linked to 52-year-old Keith Alan Ritter of Raymond Hobbs St. in Milton Florida, which is one block north of Milton High School, was used to receive the pornographic material.
After obtaining a search warrant for the residence, Investigators traveled to the residence where they made contact with Ritter, who was in front of the residence.
After informing Ritter of the search warrant, he stated that he believed he knew why they were there. Ritter further stated that he met an individual on a social media app and was sent a link to a bunch of Child Sexual Abuse Material. He further initially stated he downloaded it and emailed it to himself but was gathering it to send to law enforcement.
During the course of the voluntary conversation, Ritter changed his statement and stated he was into child pornography and already had numerous files that he got from the social media app prior to the individual sending them to him.
The arrest report further stated Ritter told the investigator he currently has child porn on his laptop and had some on his cell phone before deleting it. He was ashamed of his actions and knew what he was doing was bad. Ritter handed the investigator a Samsung cell phone, provided the passcode and stated he was the only person that resided at the residence.
During the search of the residence, two older Apple IPhones were seized from Ritter’s bedroom closet and one HP laptop from his home office.
A forensic analysis of the laptop revealed eight images of Child Sexual Abusive Material depicting prepubescent females ranging from 6 to 12 years of age in various poses displaying the female anatomy.
52-year-old Keith Alan Ritter was later arrested by warrant for 8 counts of possession of child pornography. At first appearance, Ritter, who is employed by Baptist Hospital as a Maintenance worker, was issued a $5,000.00 bond on each count totaling $40,000.00 and ordered to not engage in any criminal activity, not commit any acts or threats of violence, no internet and to have no contact with minors.
Ritter’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 30 where he will enter a plea of guilt, innocence or no contest for the child pornography charges.
