Baker School and its Head Football Coach, Barry Gardner, part ways after only two seasons.

Baker, Fla. — Michael Martello, Baker School Principal, announced Thursday, April 18th there would be a change in leadership for the football program at Baker School for the 2024-25 football season.
According to the release, the leaving of Head Coach Barry Gardner was a mutual decision both he and the school reached.
Varsity Boys Weightlifting coach, Andy Valum will fill the role as interim head coach and Junior Varsity coach, Adam Henry will take over the weight room.
The search for a new head coach will begin immediately, led by a committee consisting of school staff, community members, and stakeholders.
Coach Gardner, who served as head coach for the past two seasons, leaves the school with a record of 11 and 10. Gardner was also a member of the coaching staff in 2020 under famed head coach, Matt Brunson, when the Baker Gator Football team last won a state championship.
