Crestview Woman Arrested for Attempting to Outrun Law Enforcement

Crestview, Fla. — A Crestview woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after she attempted to outrun law enforcement.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a car driven by 27-year-old Destiny Mae Jackson of Crestview shortly before 3pm, Saturday afternoon for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, Deputy Langer and K9 Deputy Gonzales developed probable cause and instructed Jackson to step out of the car. At that time, Jackson refused to do so and fled from the traffic stop in her vehicle.
After a short vehicle pursuit, Jackson realized she couldn’t escape and surrendered on Washington St. at the intersection of W. Edney Ave.
Destiny Mae Jackson was charged with Fleeing and attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, Resisting an Officer without Violence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that tested positive for the presence of Fentanyl.
After appearing in front of an Okaloosa County Judge, she was released Sunday afternoon after posting a $7,000.00 bond.
