S. Walton County Fatal Accident

Walton County, Fla — A Santa Rosa Beach man died Friday evening as a result of a fatal single vehicle accident in South Walton County.

The fatal vehicle accident took place at approximately 5:30pm Friday, March 29 on County Road 395 near the intersection of Sandgrass Blvd.

According to the news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old Santa Rosa Beach man lost control of his SUV on CR 395 and ran off the roadway onto the grass shoulder on the west side of the roadway. He then overcorrected his vehicle causing it to roll over.

The driver, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from the SUV and was pronounced deceased on scene.
