Fort Walton Beach Convenience Store Robbed at Gunpoint

Fort Walton Beach, Fla — The Fort Walton Beach Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, at the Hollywood Food Mart located at 248 Hollywood Blvd SW.

The clerk reported a man came in around 11:45 p.m. and asked about the price of a pack of cigarettes before running around the counter and pulling out a semiautomatic handgun. The suspect asked the clerk for a plastic bag and filled it with money from the register. The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing black pants, a black “North Face” hoodie and white sneakers.
