Crestview Man Arrested For Murder

Crestview, FL — A 30 year old Crestview man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife in what appears to be a domestic violence incident.

Just before 4:00 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, the Crestview Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting that a person had been shot at a residence located at 178 Nun Drive, in Crestview.

When officers arrived on scene, a female victim, who was identified as 31 year old Rictaysha Barnum, had been shot and killed within the home.

Her husband, 30 year old, Camden Tyre Barnum, of Crestview, was identified as the shooter and was detained when officers arrived at the residence.

Camden Barnum, was later transported and delivered into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail and has been charged with Murder.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation but appear to be associated with domestic violence within the home.

The Crestview Police Department has coordinated the processing of the crime scene with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and continues to process evidence in this ongoing investigation.
