Arrest Made in Crestview Murder at Allen Park

Crestview, FL — The Crestview Police Department has made an arrest in the June 24, 2020 Murder of Steed Corsey Jr. of Crestview.

24 year old, Malik Cornell Sullivan-Carr of both Crestview and Fort Walton Beach has been arrested and charged with with the June Murder.

According to the news release, in the early hours of June 24, 2020, Malik Sullivan-Carr and Steed Corsey Jr, both went to the Allen Park walking track, located on McClelland Street, together.

The press release further stated while at the park, Sullivan-Car shot Corsey in the back of the head, killing him instantly.

Investigators from the Crestview Police Department worked with the State Attorney’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to develop leads provided by the citizens of Crestview.

The release did not provide any further details of the incident nor give a motive for the murder.

Crestview Police officials did credit the arrest to its partnership between the citizens of Crestview and law enforcement.

Sullivan-Carr, was currently incarcerated at the Okaloosa County Jail on a Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon charge at the time of the arrest.
