Crestview Inn Shooting Suspect Arrested For Murder

Crestview, Fla. – The Crestview Police Department has arrested one person for murder and released the identity of the victim in Thursday night’s shooting death at the Crestview Inn.

The Crestview Police Department has arrested 38-year-old, Lovejoy Cassie Ponthieux of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and charged her with Murder in connection with the shooting death of 26-year-old Jonathan Tyler Harvard of Niceville.

According to the news release, police received a 911 call shortly after 11:00 p.m. Thursday night, February 20, 2020, in reference to a man that was shot in room 29 at the Crestview Inn on West James Lee Boulevard in Crestview.

When officers arrived, they discovered Jonathan Harvard with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Police identified Lovejoy Ponthieux as the shooter during their investigation.

Drugs were discovered at the scene according to the press release.

Ponthieux was arrested and charged with murder and is currently at the Okaloosa County Jail with no bond.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections website, Lovejoy Cassie Anderson, also known as Lovejoy Cassie Ponthieux, served two years for various drug offenses which included Cocaine, Marijuana and Methamphetamine.

According to Walton County arrest records, Ponthieux was arrested on January 13, 2020 and out on bail for various drug charges and a weapon’s charge.
